Global Spotlight grants program: Global Food Security or South Asia Focus

The Global Spotlight grants program is an important funding opportunity to support international research by UMN faculty and graduate students.

In 2013-2014, the Global Spotlight program will award grants to faculty (major and seed grants) and graduate and professional students (dissertation and small grants) to support innovative research and the continued development of a global network of engagement and scholarship. This program supports research and scholarly initiatives related to the two current Spotlight themes: global food security or South Asia.

Here is a link to information on the grants program:

The grants were announced last spring, but the deadlines for application are now approaching and we hope to get the word out again.

Faculty grant applications are due October 28, and students grant applications are due December 4.
