Description:

Movement draws on more than a decade of research on the Sri Lankan civil war. The novel takes place primarily in northern Sri Lanka during the late 1980s, and tracks the political and moral evolution of a young medic, Sashi, who finds herself caught between the state, the Tamil Tigers, and Indian peacekeeping troops.
