Introducing Balochistan Archives

Balochistan Archives is the custodian of official records and rare historical books pertaining to Balochistan Province. They currently hold 27,000 original files and 5300 rare books pertaining to the colonial period in Balochistan, British India, Afghanistan, and Iran. They have recently embarked on an extensive digital preservation and outreach initiative with a view to increase scholarly access to their resources. This includes a well-organized website at http://balochistanarchives.gob.pk/ that showcases online exhibits, digital surrogates of select materials, and a basic catalog of their holdings.
